Delaware changed shape on 1 January 2025: pediatric dental moved out to the managed-care plans. Before that date the question "where do I log in for Delaware Medicaid dental" had one answer. Since it, the answer is whatever is printed on the patient's card, and there are three plans to sort between.
The card decides now, and one of the three plans is a blank
Two of the three routes are established:
- AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware — dental through DentaQuest, at provideraccess.dentaquest.com.
- Delaware First Health, which is Centene's plan — dental through Envolve Dental, at pwp.envolvedental.com.
The third is the one to plan around. Highmark Health Options' dental subcontractor is not established — we could not settle from the public record who administers dental for that plan, and we are not going to pattern-match a name onto it. Two of three plans using a benefit manager is not evidence about the third; benefit-manager contracts are per plan and they turn over on their own schedules.
So for a Highmark Health Options member, ring the plan and ask who administers dental, then write down what they tell you with the date you were told it. That is a genuine gap in the public record rather than something you have failed to find, and the two minutes on the phone is cheaper than a claim submitted into the wrong system.
The state's own site, medicaid.dhss.delaware.gov, resolved on 10 September 2026 and is where enrolment and programme material live. It is not the verification screen for a managed-care member's dental benefit.
What the DNS lookups returned
A Domain Name System lookup turns a hostname into an address a browser can reach. We ran these on 10 September 2026, and that is the whole of what we checked — we did not sign in to anything and we make no claim about whether these portals accept traffic from any particular network.
medicaid.delaware.gov has no address record. The longer medicaid.dhss.delaware.gov does. The shorter name is the one an office would guess, and guessing it fails in the browser with a "site can't be reached" message — no redirect, no maintenance page. That looks like the state being down and it is nothing of the sort.
The Envolve Dental portal name is an alias. pwp.envolvedental.com is an alias for portal.envolvedental.com, which is itself an alias for a host inside skygenusasystems.com, and only that last name carries the address. Worth recognising rather than acting on: if your browser or your practice's network filter shows a SKYGEN name while you are signing in at an Envolve address, that is the same destination, not a redirect somewhere unexpected.

What to do
- Read the card before you open a portal. Since 1 January 2025 the plan on it is what routes a Delaware pediatric dental patient, and there is no single statewide login to fall back on.
- For a Highmark Health Options member, call the plan first. Ask who administers dental and which portal that administrator uses, then record both against the plan.
- Record the portal against the plan in your practice management system, not against "Delaware Medicaid". A note filed under the state sends the next person to the wrong login on two cards out of three.
- Use the full medicaid.dhss.delaware.gov, and treat a failure on the shorter name as a typo rather than an outage.
- Diary a check on the plan routes. This state's arrangement is barely a year and a half old and subcontracts move; a route you verified in 2025 is worth re-confirming rather than trusting.
