The portal is **promise.dhs.pa.gov**. PROMISe is the Pennsylvania provider system, and that is the address that answers.

## The state's own instructions send you to a dead address

Pennsylvania's provider material still tells offices to register at **promise.dpw.state.pa.us**. That hostname has **no DNS record**. We checked on 10 September 2026 and it returns nothing.

This is worth stating plainly because of who it catches. It is not the office cutting corners — it is the office doing exactly what the state told it to do, in writing.
